Psalm 23:1-6 KJV
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever."
In Our Hearts Forever

People tell us that time heals a broken heart.
I thought that was true until you had to depart.
We will always feel an empty space.
Your name will always be in that place.
The tears have been falling now for so long.
When we think of the sunshine you brought, it all seems so wrong.
You had so much to look forward to, so much to do.
Nothing seems the same, but you have been released from suffering and pain.
You have been set free.
You have touched so many people, especially me.
Your personality always cheered us up.
To that let’s raise our cup.
We miss your voice, hearing you sing.
We miss you making us laugh, that was your thing.
We miss you listening to us rant, you petting your precious cat.
We could always be ourselves around you.
That kept us from feeling blue.
The world has lost a remarkable woman, a true and amazing friend.
But God needed somebody special in heaven and your journey here had to end.
I’ll never forget the night you had to leave.
I was praying down on my knee, how could this be.
Look to the heavens and smile now.
For there she is - still doing God’s work.
Taking care of cats and dogs, playing with them at the park.
Still cracking jokes and having so much fun.
Still sharing her smile and kindness with everyone.
Thank you sister for spreading joy and reminding us to live in the moment.
You are always around us, engulfing us with your love.
Giving us strength, keeping us close, and watching over us from above.
